Our facility supports both batch and continuous processes with a focus on quality, safety, and operational efficiency. We’re seeking a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and ensure equipment reliability while driving a strong culture of safety and collaboration. Position Summary This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role within a small but growing maintenance team . The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all aspects of equipment and facility maintenance, with a focus on uptime, safety, and compliance. This individual will work closely with fellow department managers (production, quality, sanitation, etc.) to align maintenance priorities with daily operational needs. Success in this role requires someone who can lead by example on the shop floor, manage a dynamic maintenance schedule, and build a high-performing, safety-focused team. Key Responsibilities Technical & Operational Oversee maintenance and repair of all production and facility systems, including: Batch/continuous cookers, product finishing operations, bottling and packaging, warehousing, and sanitation systems Maintain boilers, chillers, air compressors, sanitary washing equipment, and typical facilities assets Maintain PLC’s and HMI’s – preferably Allen Bradley General infrastructure (lighting, HVAC, water, sewer, building and property, etc.) Implement and manage preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS. Lead equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action efforts. Balance long-term reliability improvements with the real-time demands of a fast-paced production environment . Supervision & Team Leadership Manage and grow a small, dedicated team of maintenance technicians , providing hands-on training and technical guidance. Lead by example on the floor — this is not a desk-only role. Oversee shift coverage, timekeeping, overtime needs, and weekend availability. Address real-time maintenance emergencies while also prioritizing preventive and improvement-focused tasks. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Scheduling teams to align maintenance with operational priorities. Act as the primary liaison between maintenance and other departments to coordinate equipment availability, access, and service timing. Participate in daily meetings and planning sessions to ensure smooth production flow and minimal downtime. Safety & Compliance Lead and enforce OSHA safety practices, including: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) HAZCOM Electrical safety protocols Hot work and confined space permitting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in full compliance with c

, and FDA regulatory expectations . Maintain accurate safety records, training logs, and audit readiness documentation. Inventory & Vendor Management Manage inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables. Coordinate with external vendors for specialty work, emergency support, and capital equipment upgrades. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environments. Demonstrated success managing or leading a small maintenance team in a fast-moving manufacturing setting. Strong background in OSHA-compliant programs and safety systems. Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical systems, industrial controls, and Allen Bradley PLCs. Hands-on experience with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation. Effective communicator with a team-first mindset and strong cross-functional collaboration skills . Experience with FDA or GMP audit environments preferred. Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered. Work Environment This role is predominantly hands-on and requires regular time on the production floor. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and access mechanical spaces as needed.
