Plant Manager Position Summary:

CD Staffing is seeking an experienced and results-driven Industrial Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations at a beef processing facility in Center Hill, Florida . This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of equipment reliability, safety compliance, preventative maintenance, and technical staff supervision. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, hands-on technical knowledge, and a focus on minimizing downtime while supporting a safe, sanitary, and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct and manage the maintenance team, ensuring effective staffing, training, and performance management. Plan, implement, and optimize preventive maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems. Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, and other regulatory agency requirements. Collaborate with operations and production teams to schedule equipment availability for maintenance. Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, maintenance budgets, and vendor services. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Lead root cause analyses of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventative actions. Oversee capital projects involving equipment installation and upgrades. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance management, with preference given to candidates with meat or beef processing experience. Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, PLCs, electrical controls, and refrigeration systems (e.g., ammonia). Experience managing teams and working cross-functionally in a high-volume production environment. Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations. Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in environments with varying temperatures (cold, hot, and wet). Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety procedures.
