Summary:

An industry leading metal processing company is looking to hire a Night Shift Maintenance Lead. This leadership role is responsible for guiding and supporting the night shift maintenance team, coordinating with contractors, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring safety and efficiency across the facility.

Schedule Night Shift:

Monday

• Friday:

  6:00 PM

• 6:00 AM Every other weekend: either Saturday or Sunday 6:00 PM
• 6:00

AM Responsibilities:

Assign tasks and provide direction to mechanics during the night shift Review maintenance handoffs and tasks completed by the previous shift Conduct routine walk-throughs and monitor active work Oversee and ensure execution of preventative maintenance (PMs) Evaluate and report downtime events; follow up on corrective actions Assist with hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as needed Oversee subcontractors and contractors working on-site Lead and participate in weekly safety meetings Support manager in planning and budgeting Communicate with other departments and supervisors via email and two-way radio Support the upcoming implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System Use CMMS tools to track maintenance tasks, PM schedules, and parts usage

Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and mill components Capable of performing welding, cutting, torch work, and fabrication as needed Prior leadership or lead tech experience preferred Effective communication and organizational skills; must be able to lead safety discussions and train team members Computer literacy required to support CMMS usage and general email communications Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments
