Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Maintenance Planner for the VR2 plant in Villa Rica, GA. This position is responsible for working with Maintenance, Production, Warehouse and Materials Management in estimating, planning and scheduling of repairs and preventative maintenance needs to all equipment contained within our facility.
Minimum Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate Technology degree preferred. Advanced PRISM knowledge to create work orders and planning reports is required. Working knowledge and experience in basic mechanical/electrical practices associated in the industrial field. Good working knowledge of maintenance processes, repair/test methods of extrusion equipment, extrusion equipment terminology and extrusion processes. Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal. Ability to do basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) without the aid of a calculator. Able to set priorities in order to meet assigned deadlines. Ability to use and read a ruler, tape measure or other measuring instruments. Strong integrity and judgment skills. Excellent organization skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel. Working knowledge of Google, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred. Concern for excellence and customer service oriented.
Key Responsibilities & Competencies:
Position is responsible for working with Maintenance, Production, Warehouse and Materials Management in estimating, planning and scheduling of repairs and preventative maintenance needs to all equipment contained within our facility. Participate in the facilitation of
PRISM CAM
(Capital Asset Management) training for the hourly maintenance work force. Participate in or execute special projects (PRISM CAM Update, Procurement, etc). Completes daily and monthly reporting of Downtime, PRISM Work Hours, Number of Safety Work Orders completed for the month and Autonomous Work Orders completed to management. Create comprehensive planned packages for corrective and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment. Responsible for the tracking and generation of all PM Work Orders. This is to include the PM frequency, craft and type of work to be performed as deemed by the OEM. Work with the Maintenance Lead, as required, to plan associated job packages and assist with unplanned work as required. Coordinate certain contractor activities and services. To include the completion of a full contractor safety package, all permits (Hot Work, Confined Space, etc.) are issued, signed, and displayed during the assigned work. Participate in the continuous improvement of the PM program. Establish list of annual equipment inspections such as hoists, chillers, backflow preventers, etc. and ensure the verifications are scheduled and completed. Provide backup for the Maintenance Lead as needed. Responsible for planning, recording, filing, and auditing of the following: Work Completion Check List Calibration of Multi Meters Oil Analysis Lock Out Tag Out Amp, Speed & T/C Calibrations Weigh Scales Blower Filters Blender Calibrations Static Eliminators Footage Counters Web Tension Overhead Cranes Safety Inspections Ozone Readings on all Extrusion Lines Safety Concern Forms Radiation Surveys Transformer Inspections Tablet Audits High Bay Light Inspections Infra-Red Surveys Tilt-Lock Inspections Work with storeroom clerk to prepare needed parts and materials for each pm, and have ready for next days PM work. Maintain PM schedule in prism and update with completed PMs Any further work as assigned from the maintenance manager.
Safety:
Responsible for complying with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Read and understand Human Resource Procedures Manual (HRPM’s), OPM’s and WI’s relative to safety, food safety/defense, training, and process control-production equipment safety. Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings. Identify hazards and risk factors in the work area that may affect health or safety and take corrective actions immediately. Report those that cannot be immediately corrected to the Supervisor and /or Safety Coordinator. Ensure the safe handling and labeling of chemicals. Evaluate compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in his/her department or work area and take appropriate action when non-conformances are discovered. Serve as the department representative for Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC)
Food Safety/Defense:
Read and understand Work Instruction 21 in regard to food safety. Ensure documented completion of assigned inspections, check lists and audits. Ensure proper hygiene practices are followed. Serve as the department representative for Food Safety/F22
