Job Summary:
The Service Supervisor is responsible for performing all the same duties as a VSA including servicing and inspecting rental vehicles for customer use, transporting vehicles from the service area to customer pick-up, maintaining gas logs on vehicles, and maintaining cleanliness of work area as well as actively participating in the training and mentoring of service team members. Additionally, the Service Supervisor assists the location management with daily service operations.

Clean and service rental vehicles for customer use Review inspection checklist to ensure vehicles are properly prepared Transport customers to and from the rental center as required Deliver vehicles to appropriate locations as directed Maintain service area, equipment, tools and cleaning supplies Maintain gas logs and other logs as requested by management Meet productivity goals of cleaning 3-4 cars per hour Monitor Out of Service reports and vehicles and update vehicle status on rental system Relocate cars that need service to local dealership and body issues Assist with installation of vehicle tracking systems and address repair issues Prepare weekly auction loads In-fleet new vehicles Review service logs of all service members daily and suggest plans of action to the manager(s) Coach service team members as needed and report/document all coaching given to service staff management to staff Participate in all meetings between management service members to address issues Ensure all policies are being followed by service staff (e.g. carrying/answering service phones, personal cell phone policy, checklist duties are being done) Report any policy violations of any service team member to management promptly Notify management of any supply deficiencies/needs promptly Delegate tasks that are communicated by management Communicate messages from management to all members of service Perform related duties as required or assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Valid driver’s license Satisfactory motor vehicle report Excellent communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Basic computer skills including data entry, typing, and some experience with Microsoft Word & Excel Ability to complete tasks with precision, speed, and a positive attitude Ability to work well with a team General knowledge of how to operate a variety of vehicles Passion for helping others
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of supervisor or management experience preferred Car maintenance experience preferred

Extensive physical activity when cleaning and servicing cars
