We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the upkeep and functionality of our community. Position Overview As a Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure our facility remains safe, efficient, and well-maintained . Your role will involve preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep our building, equipment, and systems in optimal condition. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components. Troubleshoot and resolve facility and equipment issues to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment. Ensure all areas of the facility are clean, functional, and well-maintained for residents and staff. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents. Assist in maintaining emergency systems , including fire alarms, sprinklers, and backup generators. Monitor and maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in good working order. Assist in seasonal and special projects , such as landscaping, snow removal, and event setups. Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Support the emergency preparedness plan , including after-hours response when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training is a plus. 2+ years of maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems . Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues . Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods . Good communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents and staff.
