Full Job Description Concrete Plant Maintenance Lead Job Summary:
Metro Green Recycling is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Concrete Plant Maintenance Lead to join our company. This position ensures the efficient running of the plant’s operations and equipment in a non-climate-controlled environment working with demolition and concrete, industrial recyclables, heavy equipment, conveyor systems, etc. They will be able to identify and rectify issues effectively. We are looking for a team player that will continue to strive for excellence in Metro Green Recycling’s plant operations. We encourage thinking outside the box with proactive and preventative thought processes to keep our plant operating. Adhering to safety policies is our foremost priority!
Hours:
M-Thu 6:30am-5:30pm F 6:30am -4:30pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Solve problems in a timely manner, whilst operating production equipment and identifying opportunities for improvement Operate plant equipment to process materials to and from conveyors, chutes, crusher, feeders, and bins. Able to communicate both written and verbally within an effective and logical way with heavy equipment operators, maintenance personnel, and other staff. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks including greasing, lubricating, and other repairs throughout the plant when necessary. Strictly adhere to quality and product integrity requirements Assists crew members to maintain productivity and minimize downtime. Resolves crew issues and/or problems ensuring work rules and guidelines are followed. Maintain technical competencies and demonstrate proficiency. Safely performing physical tasks within the work environment Participates in any additional safety training programs. Prioritizes daily tasks and serves as a contributing member of the team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, not required. Possess mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and address equipment failures. 5 or more years of experience in supervision and site construction. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience at industrial recycling or similar field a plus. Must have a solid understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Adheres to work schedule, completes assigned duties in an efficient and follows company policies and guidelines. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
