Job Description

Gables Residential has an exciting opportunity to join our team leading the training and performance for our maintenance team members nationally. This position may be based in Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, or Washington DC Metro based on candidate preference. Training& Development Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive and ongoing maintenance training programs that support the onsite staff’s continuous growth and development. Conduct in-person (and virtual) training sessions on maintenance and preventive techniques, customer service, fair housing, compliance, systems, operational best practices, and other topics as needed in all core markets within the training portfolio. Conduct certification training sessions for required certifications, ex, EPA-608, CPO, and any certifications required by the industry. Create or convert training plans into highly engaging and effective training experiences. Collaborate directly with facilities maintenance leadership to identify training needs based on performance trends, customer experience, property audits, industry standards, and other relevant performance metrics. Rapidly develop training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, job aids, and micro-learning to support company needs. Evaluate training effectiveness and associate behavior change through feedback, assessments, and operational key performance indicators. Performance Management Monitor and analyze key property performance metrics, including occupancy, maintenance performance, property performance, resident satisfaction, and revenue generation. Partner with Regional Service Managers, Regional Managers, and regional leadership to identify opportunities for performance improvement, develop action plans, and follow-up strategies to ensure effectiveness. Monitor and analyze performance data and metrics from dashboards and reports to create and enact improvement plans where necessary and recognize exceptional performance. Using performance data and metrics, conduct property visits to assess operational performance and provide coaching and guidance to enhance it. Support the rollout of initiatives and create post-deployment communication plans to ensure successful implementation and that ongoing training is aligned with needs.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in property maintenance management, training, or facilities management within the multifamily housing industry. Strong knowledge of apartment operations, budgeting, and compliance. Strong leadership and communication skills, knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards, Proficiency in training development and performance management. Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills. Workday and Workday Learning experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting data and analytics reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Yardi, Knock, Sales Force). Ability to travel regularly (70% or more) to apartment communities within the portfolio.
