Class Summary This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. Part-Time Operations/Maintenance Manager $40.00 an Hour Job Description This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, servicing, and associated contract work performed at various Water Resources facilities. Facilities may include but are not limited to The Water Tower, Water Resource Laboratory, and other sites as assigned. In addition to essential duties listed below, this position may perform minor maintenance repairs and other duties necessary to maintain and healthy and safe working environment. Essential Duties Manages, coordinates, and may perform maintenance of Water Resources facilities, which includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other maintenance activities. Oversees and approves work performed by vendors and contractors at various facilities.
Compiles information to develop scope of work, work priority, resources requirements, work sequence, permits, and schedule. Requires site visits to assess the scope of the work and required maintenance.
Assists in developing requests for proposals. Plans and manages projects, which includes determining project priorities and scheduling, project tasks and duration, required resources, task dependencies, and other related activities.
Receives and prioritizes work orders, determines if work can be completed in-house, and contact contractors when necessary
Reviews, confirms, and signs off on all overseen work at assigned facilities.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Other Job Requirements/Information This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Physical Requirements Positions in this class require: kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.

Light Work:

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, dusts, chemicals, extreme temperatures and intense noises.
Hourly rate
$40.00/hour Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering; AND
Five years of facilities management experience to include facilities maintenance (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry).
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
