The Service Manager will supervise the service department ofindustrial weighing equipment (commercial scales) for our Atlantaoffice. This position is responsible for executing the plan tosupport departmental growth and profitability by supportingcustomers’ maintenance, repair, & calibration needs in conjunctionwith supervising service technicians and clericalstaff.

Responsibilities:

Manage and perform the installation, maintenance, testing,calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial weighingequipment. Plan and accomplish goals to meet and exceed departmentaltargets. Ensure compliance to customer specifications and companyrequirements. Ensure that all functions are completed on time and withinbudget. Coordinate and manage parts inventory including rentalequipment Calculate and communicate service and repair estimates,identify costs of materials and labor to external and internalcustomers. Develop schedules and assignments for service technicians basedon priority of services required, quantity of equipment needingrepair, and the skill level of the technicians. Compile operations and personnel records such as timesheets,employee evaluations. Manage fuel and repair costs for vehicles assigned to thelocation. Any other job-related duties assigned by uppermanagementRequired Skills/Abilities Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. Knowledge of equipment repair techniques and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High School diploma or equivalent Good organizational skills Exceptional customer service skills Basic computer skills with familiarity of Microsoft Office Good driving recordWork Environment Must be able to work safely in a noisy area and work sites Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. Must be able to inspect equipment in a variety of weatherconditions. Good vision to inspect repair work. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to performrepairs and inspections.
