Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, developing, and directing the overall operation of a long-term care nursing center’s maintenance department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations. Performs regularly scheduled and as needed maintenance on air conditioners, heaters, laundry equipment, generators, and oxygen concentrators. Completes general maintenance such as plumbing repair, unplugging toilets, replacing broken pipes and water lines, drywall repair, and the repair of commercial washers and dryers. Performs general carpentry, paints interior and exterior walls, moves furniture, replaces electrical outlets and light bulbs, and maintains center’s grounds. Complete and document routine maintenance inspections

Requirements/Qualifications:

To be considered for this opportunity applicants must: Be a high school graduate or its equivalent. 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance with at least 1 year in a healthcare setting Have a general knowledge of all trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical Possess working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to Life Safety Code and Emergency Preparedness Maintain the ability to communicate effectively between all departments Embrace the standards, values, and beliefs of the organization. •EEO /
