Maintenance Manager Job Description SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring operational excellence of all wash processes, maximizing machine efficiency, scheduling planned machine maintenance, and engagement in CAPEX projects within service center. Partner with General Manager to offer guidance and oversight of local maintenance staff to ensure effective maintenance and operation of plant and wash equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support preventative maintenance program at local facility Coordination of maintenance scheduling to reduce downtime while maintaining safe work practices Utilizing CMMS and driving adherence to its usage Diagnose malfunctioning systems and provide technical support to facility maintenance personnel Maintain and monitor PDM system to include troubleshooting issues, software updates and hardware installations. Support General Manager by providing equipment analysis and recommended course of action for efficient and cost-effective machine operation Execute CAPEX projects and initiatives to approved budgets and timelines. Direct and support maintenance employees to install, maintain and repair equipment as well as following good housekeeping practices. Manage and direct multiple projects simultaneously Monitor machine downtime Train and develop maintenance personnel Responsible for overseeing parts inventory and ordering Maintain and sustain CMMS and tracking spreadsheets accuracy

Plant wash cost per unit, variable and fixed Repair and maintenance costs Packaging materials expenditure to budgets Zero Harm and OSHA compliance Individual plant project delivery across multiple locations Internal and external achievement of food safety regulations, environmental regulations both local and federal, and corporate policies Mean Time between Time goals
AUTHORITY/DECISON MAKING
Recommendation on plant CAPEX investment and resulting return on investment. Manage network CAPEX to meet approved CAPEX budget. Typical annual budget of 3-11M. Overview of wash machines and assorted peripheral equipment contributing to washing of RPC’s. Repair and maintenance budgets by individual wash facility.
CHALLENGES
High tempo work schedule includes various rotating shifts and weekends. Management of a large hourly work force in a high output production environment. Working autonomously with quickly changing customer requirements that necessitate forward and proactive thinking. Managing and motivating maintenance staff in a production environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
4-year college degree preferred Demonstrated aptitude in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic and pneumatic applications, background in automation is a plus. Process development experience and proven record in operational success in balancing cost, quality, and performance Ability to develop and manage project plans with budget for multiple projects simultaneously Documented OSHA safety training and/or accreditation strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5+ years of previous maintenance experience in a high-volume production, agricultural production or distribution facility required Experience working with multiple high-volume 24-hour production/warehouse environments required Safety program management experience required Must be willing to work flexible schedules/hours SKILLS and

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high volume operational requirements Familiar with applicable federal and state laws pertaining to wage and hour, employee relations and safety Computer literacy required, including proficiency in standard business applications included in Microsoft Office Suite Proven Ability to work/develop and effective team within a high-volume 24-hour production/warehouse environment Excellent on time decision making skills.
