Skilled in managing multi-disciplinary teams, including carpentry and painting crews, and coordinating subcontractors to maintain facilities efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities Schedule and direct maintenance staff for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality work completion. Support administrative functions such as hiring, performance management, and inventory oversight of parts and equipment manuals. Supervise operations by conducting inspections, setting work priorities, and guiding technicians to maintain productivity and compliance. Coordinate and oversee subcontractor performance to meet project standards and timelines. Act as subject matter expert for preventive and corrective maintenance practices, providing guidance to technicians and collaborating with the broader facilities team. Investigate equipment issues, diagnose faults, and recommend corrective actions to leadership and facility staff. Conduct regular Quality Control (QC) inspections and ensure documentation and follow-up of corrective actions in line with the QC program. Assist with monthly service reporting and cost estimation for out-of-scope projects. Monitor job safety, conduct training sessions, inspect tools/work areas, and reinforce safety protocols. Maintain work order systems, logs, and status reports for tracking progress and compliance. Knowledge, Skills & Certifications Deep understanding of healthcare facility regulations including The Joint Commission, NFPA, OSHA, and FGI Guidelines. Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification required. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, medical gas, fire, and security systems. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints. Skilled in estimating, bidding processes, and materials procurement. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with government maintenance databases (DMLSS) is a plus. EPA Refrigerant Certification (preferred). Certified Medical Gas Installer (preferred). OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain within one year). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours. Strong understanding of safety, documentation, and compliance standards in a technical environment. Work Environment Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods. Exposure to varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals. Must pass a local background check and be eligible for NAC/LAC clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary range: $80,000 – $120,000 Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, wellness, financial planning, and short-term incentive programs.
