Position Summary:

The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facilities. Work scope includes planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance repair.

Essential Functions:

Technical:

Understand and applies proper LOTO procedures and leads others in same Identify and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and utilizes appropriate measuring and test equipment. Bring production back on line quickly through rapid analysis and repair Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment and processes. Remove defective parts utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes as needed. Assist with installation and operation of new equipment to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance of plant equipment and facility utilities. Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment according to OSHA standards. Education High School/GED 2 Year Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Technology or comparable background of work related experience in a Maintenance related discipline preferred
