Production General Summary The Group Leader will train and lead team members on assigned projects and manage daily production activities, as well as, providing team members with work standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor Safety, Quality, Cost and Productivity with daily improvement activities Maintain compliance with TS/16949 and

ISO14000

implementation goals Direct multiple team leaders and their respective zones Perform line input and other administrative tasks as required Prevent defects from passing to the next work process driving first-time quality in station Motivate, train, and develop Team Leader/Members to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standard methods and procedures Ensure Team Members perform their job responsibilities and empower them to continuously improve their work by managing and eliminating constraints. Implement problem-solving processes Create a positive environment in production for all team members Responsible for meeting budget requirements and initiate cost improvements Work across departmental and cultural lines to achieve targets and success The above typical duties are characteristic of this job and demonstrate a level of difficulty and are not intended to list or limit the duties that may be required or assigned to a team member in this classification. Qualifications & Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED along with two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or equivalent combination of education and experience. One (1) to two (2) years in related area of position. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Teamwork oriented. Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, effective follow-up, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access. Experience with SAP system preferred. Knowledge of shop process and tool technology preferred. Production supervision and management skills.
