Strategically positioned, it serves as a critical logistics hub for Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the broader Central Asian region. Join APM Terminals and play a pivotal role in our global Asset Management transformation. We’re looking for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance of terminal equipment. This role is key to reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and driving operational excellence through Lean practices, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement. You’ll lead a skilled team, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure maintenance aligns with terminal goals and global standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Execution & Safety Ensure all preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with global and local safety standards. Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example. Performance & Reliability Management Drive improvements in equipment availability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness by monitoring KPIs, analyzing trends, and optimizing maintenance strategies using data-driven decision-making. Strategic Asset Management Develop and continuously improve maintenance strategies aligned with global standards, focusing on asset lifecycle optimization, risk-based planning, and alignment with terminal objectives. Team Leadership & Development Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team through training, coaching, and succession planning. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Cost & Resource Optimization Manage the maintenance budget, optimize resource and spare parts usage, and support investment planning to ensure long-term asset integrity and cost control.
Location Country:
Poti Who Are We Looking for? Educational & Technical Background University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field, with strong technical expertise in container handling equipment (e.g., cranes, reach stackers, terminal tractors). Industry & Leadership Experience Solid experience in the port industry, including 5 years in maintenance management, with proven ability to lead and develop high-performing, cross-functional teams. Maintenance & Reliability Expertise In-depth knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, CMMS systems, condition monitoring, and performance improvement tools such as Lean and RCA. Change & Continuous Improvement Leadership Experience driving operational improvements through Lean practices, digital transformation, and structured change management in maintenance environments. Communication & Stakeholder Management Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments, manage diverse teams, and influence stakeholders in a multicultural environment. ️ ️ Excited to take the next step in your career?
