Job Category Engineering & Science Position Summary The Repair & Maintenance Engineering position focuses on planning, designing and implementing maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment. An Experienced Professional position applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. This position must be able to work independently with general supervision and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
Responsibilities Responsibilities:
Works on repair and maintenance engineering problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals Participates in planning and coordination of maintenance engineering work, including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications Performs engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment Supports continuous improvement/automation activities Other duties as assigned
