As part of the Refinery Management Team, this position is responsible for planning daily and weekly maintenance schedules, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with procurement and vendor management. The Maintenance Coordinator also supports training, project coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives, reporting directly to the Maintenance Engineer. Maintenance & Planning
- Develop and manage detailed daily and weekly maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with production, contractors, and engineering to prioritize and plan work.
- Create scopes of work, estimate resources, and generate work packages aligned with job requirements.
- Provide technical guidance in troubleshooting equipment and mechanical systems.
- Support supervision of the maintenance team, including task oversight and performance feedback. CMMS Administration
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create job plans, track work orders, and maintain equipment records.
- Support preventive maintenance scheduling, PM data entry, and reporting.
- Train maintenance staff in CMMS usage and support inventory control through the system. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Process purchase requisitions and manage procurement activities for maintenance and engineering needs.
- Reconcile invoices and collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies.
- Evaluate vendors using SLA/KPI metrics and lead performance improvement efforts.
- Develop procurement agreements and maintain critical spare parts inventory. Training & Development
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement training programs.
- Support onboarding of new technicians and assess training effectiveness.
- Provide ongoing skill development and feedback to the maintenance workforce. Turnarounds & Capital Projects
- Participate in planning and execution of shutdowns and turnarounds (TARs).
- Ensure proper resource allocation and project coordination during major events.
- Assist in overseeing contractor performance and ensure adherence to scope and schedule. General Responsibilities
- Maintain communication with all stakeholders through email and meetings.
- Monitor team attendance and assist with coverage during absences.
- Serve in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours maintenance support.
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications Proficient in English with strong supervisory experience Solid mechanical knowledge and expertise in industrial maintenance Familiarity with schematics and maintenance management practices Experience with electrical systems, including high and low voltage Knowledge of CMMS and programmable logic controllers Skills in project management and facilities management
