The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing service operations, ensuring high-quality automotive diagnostics, and leading a team of skilled technicians. Your expertise in various automotive services, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire services, will be essential in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency and quality of work. Manage and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Oversee service writing processes, ensuring accurate documentation of customer requests and service performed. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to assess mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs. Coordinate with customers to explain services needed and provide updates on vehicle status. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations within the service area. Maintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for automotive services. Implement training programs for staff to enhance skills in areas such as air brake systems, suspension work, and transmission repairs. Requirements Proven experience in an automotive service environment with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, including but not limited to oil changes, brake repair, tire service, and suspension work. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and staff professionally. Familiarity with service writing software and tools used in the automotive industry. A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications in automotive technology are a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
