Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and leadership to on-site technicians, andsupervisors/managers, to ensure that allrepair/maintenance work isperformed in a safe, efficient and timely manner
- Oversee coordination, planning/scheduling of all repair work, whilemanagingdepartment’s overtime. Monitor shops’ operational performanceand efficiency; report to management of shops’ performance; implementprocedures for processchanges for improvement.
- Overseeing daily shop huddles; fleet walk-arounds; coaching leadtechnicians and maintenance supervisor(s) on performance and correctiveaction; make hiring/ termination decisions in concert with HR andappropriate management; oversee employee training and performanceevaluations.
- Maintain anon-goingpreventive maintenance program for all shopswithingeographicresponsibility. Identify trends in roadcalls,breakdowns;oversees maintenance of building and otherfacilityonsite.
- Perform inspections of outside repairs and maintenance to ensure allwork is properly completed in accordance with Company safety andcompliance procedures and federal and stateregulations;follow up whereappropriate. Identifytrainingopportunities and, asnecessary,documentissues and constructively discuss correctiveaction,as needed,withmaintenance supervisor.
- Accountable for scheduled Quality Control Inspections, track issuesand resolution to ensure all work is properly completed in accordancewith Company safety and compliance procedures, andfederaland stateregulations.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems,transmission, brake,hydraulicand electrical systems of heavy equipmentand vehicles used to perform advanced preventive and repairmaintenancefunctions including: engine chassis repair and maintenance;vehiclebody control systems, including hydraulics andelectricalsystems;heating and air conditioning systems; knowledge of welding tools to fixheavy equipment.
- Manage related administrative matters for team, including payroll,maintenance of employee records, records of all preventive andcorrective maintenance performed, recording information into DossierMaintenance Software, prepare and submit budget forapproval,setdepartmental goals to align with targets and performance objectives.
- Requires travel.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 3 years of leadership experience
- Knowledge ofbasiccomputer skills and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem solving, organizational, customer service, andcommunications skills.
- Able to anticipate business needs and plan accordingly to ensurethatequipment, employees and fiscal resources are used inthemostefficient manner.
- Highlevelof analytical skills to develop possible solutions toaddress a range of issues.
- Able to encourage employee engagement.
- Good financial management and planning skills; able to understandfinancial terms, budgets, tables and reports.
- AutomotiveService Excellence T2 Diesel Engine, T Master Certified. T3Drive T4 Brake TS Suspension and Steering.
- Certified Automotive Fleet Management (CAFM) Financial Systems, CAFMRisk Management,CAFMInformation Management,CAFMAsset Management,CAFMVehicle
- Fuel Managementorexperienceor knowledge.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager orMaintenance Supervisor for a large fleet of vehicles or multiple sitelocations requiring knowledge andapplicationof OSHA Haz Com; OSHA LockOut Tag Out; and OSHA Fire
