Job Summary:

Our Portland Maine office is looking for a highly motivated Licensed Senior Structural Project Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary office. The qualified applicant will have the opportunity to engage in all phases of project development from inception to completion of construction and be part of a team that values our ability to produce and provide exceptional services and solutions that exceed the expectations of our clients. Your role will include building relationships with clients, owners, internal team members, and contractors while providing design and consulting services for a wide assortment of projects. General Duties:

Provide engineering expertise for the structural design of various projects types and sizes
Conduct field reviews of existing structures and new structures under construction
Prepare and supervise reports, analysis and design, plans, details and specifications
Assist with supervision and mentoring of staff engineers
Prioritize and deliver multiple projects with minimal supervision
Liaison with clients, design team (internal and external), and contractors to ensure project work is compliant with the design documents
Track project costs and schedules to meet contractual obligations with an emphasis on efficiency
Assist with maintaining and expanding client relationships and business development activities
Periodic project related travel within New England States

Qualifications:

BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
Master of Science in Civil Engineering is preferred
10+ years of experience related to the design of structural systems for buildings, additions, renovations, and infrastructure projects
Maine PE license or ability to obtain license is required
Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, precast, cold framed metal, and wood-framed design of building structures.
Ability to manage multiple projects from concept stage through construction in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to change and find solutions to challenges.
Knowledge of Building Codes
Experience with Revit preferred
Proficient knowledge with computers and computer software (MS Office, RAM, RISA, Bluebeam, etc.)
