Coastal Pines Landscaping Position Summary:

The Landscaping Crew Leader is responsible for managing a team of landscapers to complete residential and commercial landscaping projects on time and to company standards. This role ensures high-quality service, promotes safety, and maintains client satisfaction while leading by example in the field. In the winter, this position transitions to managing and executing snow removal services for assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of landscape crew members. Delegate tasks, monitor productivity, and provide on-the-job training. Foster a positive team environment and maintain crew morale. •

Project Execution:

Interpret landscape designs and work orders to ensure proper execution. Operate and oversee use of tools, machinery, and vehicles safely and effectively. Ensure job sites are completed to company quality standards. •

Customer Service:

Represent the company professionally while on client properties. Communicate with clients on-site as needed and report feedback or concerns to management. •

Safety & Maintenance:

Conduct daily safety checks of vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment. Ensure crew compliance with safety protocols and use of PPE. Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and trailers. •

Reporting & Communication:

Report progress, delays, or issues to upper management daily. Track hours, materials used, and job completion details accurately. Participate in scheduling and planning with operations staff as needed. •

Winter Operations:

Responsible for managing and servicing snow removal accounts during the winter season. Ensure timely and thorough plowing, sanding as needed for each storm event. Operate snowplows, salt spreaders, and other winter equipment in a safe and effective manner. Be available for on-call work during snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays. •

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of landscaping or groundskeeping experience (1 year in a leadership role preferred). Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of plant care, turf maintenance, and landscape installation. Ability to read landscape plans and execute layout. Snow plowing experience preferred or willingness to be trained.

Schedule & Compensation:

Full-time, year-round position. Work hours may vary by season; extended hours during snow events are expected. Competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience, with overtime opportunities.
