Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Director to join our team at Aspire Senior Living Poplar Bluff . As the Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility’s maintenance and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities:
Supervise Maintenance Staff:

Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.

Preventive Maintenance:

Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to prolong the life of equipment, reduce downtime, and minimize disruptions.

Repairs and Renovations:

Coordinate and oversee repair projects, renovations, and upgrades to the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural improvements.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility maintenance and safety standards.

Budget Management:

Work collaboratively with the management team to develop and manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resources and prioritizing projects.

Emergency Response:

Develop and implement emergency response plans, and be available for on-call duty to address urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.

Vendor Management:

Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to obtain competitive bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee the quality of work performed.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance. Generate reports as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in facility maintenance, with a focus on long-term care or healthcare facilities preferred. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse maintenance team. Knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations related to healthcare facilities. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills and the ability to interact positively with residents, staff, and external vendors. Proficiency in computer applications related to maintenance management.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED required. Additional certifications or a degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
