Role Specific Information Job Description About the Role As the Manager of Maintenance, you will manage maintenance and repairs for Kohl’s property. You will prioritize and execute projects to reduce equipment downtime, ensure cost efficiency, and meet Kohl’s quality standards. What You’ll Do Maintain and enforce safety-related programs Partner with third-party vendors to procure maintenance-related contracts for capital equipment and supplies Facilitate training and service programs to educate staff on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment and ensure compliance among all Associates Report and document failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) Prepare and analyze maintenance schedules and report findings Provide strategic recommendations for overall network maintenance-related activities Lead direct reports to achieve unit goals under Kohl’s policies and practices Increase associate engagement by developing and communicating a clear vision Maintain open communication by setting clear objectives and removing barriers Develop an effective staff through coaching and performance feedback What Skills You Have Required Prior management experience in a distribution or warehouse environment Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) techniques Practical knowledge of automated distribution and warehouse systems (PC & PLC controlled automated distribution) Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent Flexibility in hours to support multi-shift operations Basic computer knowledge, including Windows systems Preferred Bachelor’s Degree (or advanced degree) Strong interpersonal skills Working knowledge of EAM systems Experience with (Internet of Things (IoT) and/or Condition Based Monitoring Essential Functions The requirements listed below are representative of functions you will be required to perform, however you may be required to perform additional functions. Ability to maintain composure and work in a fast paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating, preparing reports, etc. Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor activities across business units. Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned projects in a timely manner. Perform work in accordance with the Physical Requirements section.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs. with a two person lift. Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push and pull on a frequent basis. Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift (at least 9 hours). Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise. Ability to comply with health and safety standards.
