Position Summary:
The Facility and Machine Tool Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all Machine tools and facilities equipment within the organization. This role ensures that all production machinery, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are functioning optimally, and facility operations meet regulatory requirements. The supervisor will manage maintenance personnel, develop work schedules, and collaborate with vendors to ensure the timely completion of repairs and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
The FacilityMachine Tool Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for delivering results that include the following: Supervise and lead the maintenance team which includes Manufacturing equipment maintenance, Facilities maintenance and Housekeeping. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventative maintenance for machine tools and facilities equipment to ensure minimal downtime. Perform regular inspections of production equipment, facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems. Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from staff, ensuring timely and effective service. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building safety, equipment standards, and environmental guidelines. Oversee the installation, repair, and replacement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Manage relationships with third-party contractors, OEM Manufacturers and vendors for specialized repairs and services. Assist with budgeting and cost control by tracking maintenance expenses and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. Maintain and update records for equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and organized, adhering to all health and safety standards. Prepare reports on maintenance activities and suggest improvements to enhance facility operations.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, or related field preferred). Experience in manufacturing / machine tool maintenance and repair. Proven experience in facility maintenance, equipment repair, or a similar field. Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance role. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
