About the Position
The position is with the Facilities and Maintenance Division, BILOXI, MS in

HARRISON COUNTY, MS.

The Managerial Facilities & Grounds Maintenance position is in charge of planning, coordinating, estimating and scheduling maintenance, alteration, or renovation projects and upgrades for a facility, or multiple facilities or locations through the coordination of in-house and contracted skilled and semi-skilled trades work. At this level, employees estimate project cost and scope; develop facilities management policies and procedures, including facility systems preventive maintenance schedules; and project future needs of facilities systems and structural maintenance.

Supervision responsibilities include:

recommendation of selection and hire; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. At this level, employees are focused on the implementation of facilities program activities and manage the day-to-day operations (e.g., develop operational policies and procedures; manage inventory; prepare status reports of activities; estimate time, materials, and staffing needs; and coordinate with other involved in projects/activities).

Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires 4-6 years of semi-skilled work experience. •
