About the Position Second-level supervisory position accountable for directing and overseeing a variety of employees, specialized trade workers and contractors in the maintenance, operation and repair of state facilities and their equipment. Jobs at this level may be more complex or have oversight of a small or mid-sized state facility or an area or department within a larger state facility. Repair and maintain state buildings and state equipment. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and work task review; and performance assessment, guidance, and progressive training. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen, including basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems knowledge. What you’ll need to be Successful The incumbent will need to possess knowledge, skills and experience in areas such as painting, dry wall, electrical repair, HVAC, plumbing and other maintenance areas as required. Supervisory skills (employees). Preferred Qualifications Typically requires 2-4 years of experience with 2-4 in semi-skilled work.
Agency preferred qualifications:
Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems working knowledge.
