Key Responsibilities Maintenance Operations & Property Care Complete service requests promptly and professionally, including HVAC repairs, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. Support apartment turnover efforts with painting, flooring, carpentry, and kitchen/bath renovations. Maintain curb appeal and common areas, including playgrounds, recreational spaces, walkways, lighting, and laundry facilities. Conduct regular property inspections and preventative maintenance tasks, reporting any safety or operational concerns. Teamwork & Collaboration Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion. Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive, respectful work environment. Participate in the on-call emergency rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance needs as required. Organization & Accountability Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop; track inventory and tools in accordance with company procedures. Arrive on time, present professionally in a company-provided uniform, and represent New Urban with pride and courtesy. Use company-provided tools responsibly and ensure equipment is properly secured. Follow safety protocols and report any issues impacting resident or team safety immediately. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or facilities settings. Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between properties as needed. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
