Maintenance Team Leader 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars Moncure, NC 27559 Maintenance Team Leader, Moncure, NC We are currently seeking a Maintenance Team Leader for our Moncure, NC location. Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager this role is responsible for day-to-day processes in the maintenance shop, all manufacturing equipment, and R&T machinery and equipment within the Moncure plant site. The Team Leader will attend meetings, oversee and prepare the corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance schedule, assign work to the Maintenance Team and non-Arclin tradespersons to ensure the efficient, safe and continuous operation plant machinery and equipment, per all HSE regulations and standards. They will also be responsible for training and building the skill sets of the maintenance personal.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee, prepare, execute and participate in the maintenance department to service all machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and avoid unexpected break downs Execute the preventive and predictive maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment in the plant to minimize downtime and to avoid unexpected break downs and costly repairs Work with the production supervisors to plan and schedule Maintenance department activities for the most effective use of labor and other resources Monitor the work request / order system to initiate breakdown work activities Schedule outside resources to support effective maintenance planning such as contractors, specialized equipment (i.e., crane, manlift, etc.) Respond on-call via radio or after-hours telephone to meet the needs of Manufacturing/Production to change schedules, move equipment etc. Participate in meetings such as process hazards analysis (PHAs), management of change, incident investigations and root cause analysis, weekly preventive and predictive equipment scheduling. Train the maintenance personal and help them progress. As necessary, work as one of the maintenance technicians.
Job Qualifications:
Post-secondary education as a licensed industrial tradesperson in mechanical, welding, or electrical discipline. 5+ years working as a tradesperson in an industrial/plant setting. Exposure to the chemical processing industry . Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and fix mechanical problems. Ability to prepare and execute a preventive maintenance system and allocate time and resources effectively to minimize downtime and overtime. Demonstrated ability to motivate a team of maintenance workers. Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems including design and preventative maintenance experience Ability to work from blueprints and drawings.
