Maintenance Supervisor
This position is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair and is responsible for supervising assigned mechanics. The Maintenance Supervisor role oversees the coordination of all the maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair work to the equipment of the DC. The position requires the supervision of a team to perform daily maintenance tasks and work closely with production to ensure that our customers are supplied per business needs. This is a fast-paced environment and frequently requires immediate responses. This position also requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to listen to associates and implement best practices with an eye towards safety and continuous improvement.
Job Summary
Generates purchase orders and maintains inventory of parts and equipment.
Manages the maintenance budget to minimize cost.
Manages preventative maintenance programs and day to day maintenance tasks.
Participates and or leads in projects that align with the strategic goals that require partnering with Engineering, Safety Coordinator and Management.
Supervises maintenance contractors to make sure that deadlines are met and contracts are followed.
Department Employee Engagement/Morale, Coaching & Developing, Policy & Procedure and Employee Life Cycle activities. Executes proper training and cross training of areas to ensure flexibility to meet current and future repairs and/or minimize costs. Provides coaching and development for direct reports including performance management. Creates and maintains a positive work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, 4-year college degree preferred.
5+ years of supervisory experience (Maintenance and/or distribution center experience preferred)
Must be willing to work flexible hours and or shift to meet work requirements
Must be authorized to work legally in the United States
