Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Engineering Manager to oversee the implementation and development of all maintenance systems within our facility. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance of all equipment, implementing effective maintenance strategies, and developing preventative maintenance programs to improve efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in maintenance management, and understanding of PLC troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities Maintenance Management:

Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the reliability and performance of all equipment and systems. Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and support to optimize performance. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Manage the maintenance budget, including procurement of parts, tools, and services, while striving for cost-effective solutions.

Engineering Management:

Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and activities to support new equipment installation and modifications. Develop timeline for implementation and coordinate with vendors and plant to address equipment issues, plant layouts, and enhance overall effectiveness of processes Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate new automation solutions and improve existing systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and robotics.

Process Improvement:

Develop preventative maintenance program to reduce down time, improve inventory control, and costs for the plant. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Assisting the development of data collection data metrics to monitor performance, track progress, and make data-driven decisions.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all maintenance and equipment comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards. Promote a culture of safety within the team and conduct regular safety training and drills.

Communication and Collaboration:

Coordinate with other departments, including production and engineering, to ensure seamless operations and address any maintenance or automation needs. Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, automation projects, and performance metrics to senior management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

MBA- Preferable Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management and automation, with at least 3 years in a manager role. Proven experience with automated systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and robotics. Strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Skills:

Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise in maintenance and automation. Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other relevant software. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in maintenance management, automation, or safety (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Automation Professional (CAP), OSHA Safety Certification) are a plus. Working Conditions Full-time position, with occasional overtime required. Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment with exposure to machinery and automation systems. May require standing, walking, and lifting of equipment or materials
