As the Maintenance Manager you will beresponsible for overseeing the overall direction and leadership forthe Maintenance Department, as well as being expected to contributeat both a strategic and facility level to identify priorities andrecommend solutions to support the business. You will have a broadbased, total productive maintenance approach to maintenancemanagement with small project and P&L oversight. As MaintenanceManager, you will report to the Plant Manager. This role has directreports with staff numbering up to 20. The Maintenance Manager willpartner with the site Reliability Engineer to minimize downtime,track maintenance KPI’s and implement TPM standard methodologies.

You will be responsible for maintenance budget for the plant aswell as the maintenance strategy while being a champion for theDrax Safety Culture by leading, creating, and maintaining a safeand healthy work environment, following standards and procedures;and complying with legislation and regulations. As part of yourduties, you will: Manage the maintenance work process, as well asthe maintenance personnel at a wood pellet facility Communicatesdirectly and frequently with the Operations department tocoordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas Navigatecomputerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to execute workorders, order spare parts, assist in building maintenance historyof plant equipment, etc Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma toolssuch as SMED, Kaizen, and Kanban Leads teams with planning andimplementing plant improvements Ensures that all maintenancetechnicians are trained on the most updated version of proceduresMonitors operation of plant equipment and systems Communicate andsupport the philosophy of the RCM (Reliability Cent RCM(Reliability Centred Maintenance) Program to increase or maintainthe reliability of the plants Maintenance) Program to increase ormaintain the reliability of the plants Work with the reliabilitydepartment to implement recommended practices and participate intraining as needed Ability and knowledge of developing routinemaintenance policy and strategy in line with manufactures and plantmanager’s recommendations, to maximize plant efficiency andavailability Must act as a mentor and coach to maintenance team ona regular basis to implement cultural changes as needed Must directand supervise workflow of maintenance employees Continuouslyencourage, seek, identify, and implement the means and methods toimprove plant productivity and efficiency without compromisingproduct quality, safety or environmental standards Must haveexperience to identify and assess foreseeable risks and implementcontrol measures to an acceptable level to perform a task. Assistin developing training manuals and Standard Maintenance Procedures(SMP) Communicate to all Maintenance team employees the Company’sexpectations, business goals Must have the ability to communicateprofessionally and clearly across all levels Who you are? Youpossess the following skills, abilities, and experience: At least 5- 10 years maintenance or related experience with responsibilityfor maintenance on assets. Previous supervisory experiencedrequired. You have excellent communication skills both written andverbal. Basic computer skills are required; CMMS experiencepreferred. You must have a High School Diploma and if you have aB.S. Engineering or related certifications then even better! What’sit like to work at Drax?
