Join a dynamic and rapidly growing manufacturer just south of Asheville, NC, as their Engineering Maintenance Manager ! This exciting opportunity places you at the forefront of a major expansion initiative, where your leadership will directly impact the installation and performance of advanced plastic extrusion machinery. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Engineering Maintenance Manager position include: 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in a maintenance-heavy environment, with a strong focus on plastic extrusion equipment. Experience with Siemens controls, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and lean manufacturing principles. Manage a small team of maintenance engineers to ensure plant availability, machine reliability, and adherence to ISO9001 quality standards. Oversee the installation and maintenance of new equipment, including Turkish extrusion machines. Utilize ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred) for planning and operational support. Monitor budgets, allocate resources, and handle contractor management. Champion preventative maintenance, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure continuous production support. Foster a culture of safety, organization, and continuous improvement throughout the engineering department.
Salary:
$100,000 – $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
