Maintenance Supervisor Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor who will work most Saturdays. Shifts may vary between 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6pm, and flexibility is required. The work schedule will be either Tuesday-Saturday or Wednesday-Sunday depending on internal supervisor availability. Responsibilities Follow up on preventative maintenance, work orders, and emergency repairs to ensure they are completed correctly. Inspect running equipment and plan for repairs during scheduled downtime. Work with mechanics individually to help them improve their skills. Assist mechanics in their training programs to facilitate their growth and promotions. Work closely with production supervisors to meet their needs. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on automated equipment. Respond quickly to maintenance calls and be fully prepared to make any necessary repairs. Maintain a visible and readily available presence on the plant floor. Ensure a safe working environment both in the maintenance shop and on the plant floor. Maintain a strong focus on food safety and attention to detail when working on equipment or near the product. Provide and maintain your own hand tools, including wrench sets, pliers, socket sets, hammers, and punches. Work in a fast-paced environment. Schedule mechanics and submit payroll. Participate in operations shift meetings as well as safety and food safety meetings and inspections. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automation controls in an industrial operation. Ability to read and update electrical schematics. Solid leadership qualities. Proficiency with office software, especially spreadsheets. Strong understanding of mechanical systems. Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and in hot environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Food manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Why Work Here? It features conveyors with modular belting, ovens, pillow packing machines, automated palletizers, shrink wrapping, and HMI panels with AB PLCs. The maintenance room is equipped with welders, lathes, mills, drill presses for parts fabrication, and a large inventory room for parts. There is also a freezer section where buns are stored. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Clayton, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 – $80000.00/yr.
