POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of their assigned facilities, ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning effectively and efficiently. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, scheduling repairs, managing vendors while on-site, performing preventive maintenance, conducting daily work orders and janitorial tasks while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians. Assign tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance projects. Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to staff. Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of equipment and facilities. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Coordinate and oversee emergency repairs and troubleshooting.: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget. Track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support operations. Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance issues and project updates. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred. Proven experience in maintenance management or supervisory roles. Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques, tools, and safety practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in maintenance management software is a plus. Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Requires working nontraditional hours with minimal direct supervision. Requires much physical movement, lifting, carrying, and reading instructions. Additionally, this role requires: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to move, walk, lift, bend, stand, grasp, climb steps/ladders and able to work in an elevated environment. Ability to tolerate physical contact with, use of, and in close proximity to approved cleaning chemicals and supplies. Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings. Daily schedule of first shift, Monday- Friday with breaks and meal periods. Ability to be on call for emergency repairs
