Position:

The North Carolina Aquariums at Fort Fisher is seeking a dynamic, efficient, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Building Superintendent . This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This position works under the direction of the Associate Director/ Director of Operations and Husbandry and works closely with all other staff to support their department’s many and varied requirements. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee housekeeping, operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems, maintenance of life support systems, grounds maintenance, security, fire, septic system, and maintenance of the facility structure. Staff supervision, inventory, shipping and receiving, and coordination of maintenance contracts. Provide and maintain a safe and pleasant environment for both staff and visitors. Responsible for ensuring that the Aquarium is operated as efficiently as possible using the latest housekeeping techniques, energy saving strategies, and through the efficient use of supplies, materials, and staff.

Position/Physical Requirements:

Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required.
