Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well-established sitedevelopment and homebuilding company in the Triangle area that isseeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to join their team. This is adirect hire opportunity offering excellent benefits, working dayshift Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
Lead hands-on diagnosticsand mechanical repairs for diesel-powered equipment and trucks.
Plan and manage all routine service and preventive maintenance tokeep the fleet in top working condition. Monitor and updateequipment schedules, usage, and locations across multiple jobsites. Partner with field supervisors and project managers toensure equipment is available when and where it’s needed. Maintainaccurate service records, maintenance histories, and inspectiondocumentation. Ensure all machinery and vehicles meet safety andregulatory standards, including DOT and OSHA compliance. Stay ontop of emissions regulations, inspections, and certificationrequirements. Supervise and support the in-house diesel mechanic toensure timely service and repair work. Work with outside vendorsand dealerships for specialized repairs or warranty services.
Inspect equipment returning from job sites to identify damage orexcessive wear. Prepare damage reports and coordinate resolutionwith insurance providers or internal teams. Utilize fleetmanagement software or maintenance tracking tools to streamlineoperations.
Requirements:
5 years experience managing heavyequipment or vehicle fleets, ideally in construction or grading.
Strong technical experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, andlarge construction equipment. Must have experience readingtechnical manuals, equipment schematics, and service instructions.
Thorough understanding of workplace safety standards andtransportation regulations. Experience using fleet maintenancesoftware or computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) is preferred.
Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus.
