Operations Manager Jones Insurance, Benefits & HR Consulting Apex, NC 27539 Jones Advisors HR Consulting is conducting a search for a driven to succeed, Operations Manager, on behalf of our client, Element Service Group. Element Service Group provides top quality HVAC maintenance, repairs, and system replacements. They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced personnel to oversee the day-to-day operations of our HVAC Service & Installation Departments. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing field technicians and supervisors, and ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery across all projects. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including training, recruiting, scheduling, and troubleshooting. Additionally, this position requires strong technical expertise with proven leadership, project management, and customer service skills to support company growth and client satisfaction. Answer incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally. Schedule and dispatch service calls to technicians. Follow up on open estimates and service calls to ensure customer satisfaction. Process and approve invoices and expense reports. Maintain accurate records of service calls, quotes, and invoices. Prepare and submit warranty claims. Generate and submit invoices for completed services. Track and manage accounts receivable. Assist technicians with technical questions and troubleshooting. Create estimates for recommended repairs and replacements. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

US Work Authorization. High school or equivalent required. HVAC Industry experience preferred. Dispatch experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Develop, implement, and refine operational procedures, standards, and best practices to ensure optimal efficiency and results. Direct and supervise the activities of the Service & Installation Departments, aligning with company goals and performance metrics. Collaborate with leadership to establish budgets, Key Performance Indictors (KPI), and strategies that drive profitability and scalability. Monitor performance metrics and initiate corrective actions. Lead and manage HVAC installation and service projections from planning to execution, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety compliance, and timely project completion. Supervise and mentor HVAC technicians, installers, and managers to promote a high-performance culture. Support scheduling of service calls and maintenance work, ensuring timely and efficient execution. Serve as a liaison between field staff and office personnel, assisting with scheduling, billing, and job closeout processes. Assist with estimating service agreements, maintenance contracts, and repair projects. Coordinate training programs and implement strategies to upskill staff. Provide technical support and guidance to service technicians. Troubleshoot complex technical issues. Ensure consistent and exceptional service delivery to clients through quality control and field support. Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively. Provide project updates and manage client expectations throughout project lifecycles. Develop and implement new procedures and policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position is frequently performed inside a temperature-controlled office building. The level of noise varies in this face-paced work environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, stretch, and walk. Vision requirements include reading a computer monitor, peripheral vision, and color vision.
