Service Manager/ Shop Foreman Reeve Smith Auto Repair Raleigh, NC 27616 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our automotive service shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and leadership skills, ensuring that our team delivers high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage both staff and customer relationships effectively. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians to ensure efficient workflow. Provide technical guidance and support for complex repairs, including diesel engine repair. Oversee vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, alignments, and other routine services. Train and mentor staff on best practices in automotive service and customer interaction. Manage inventory levels for parts and supplies, ensuring availability for timely repairs. Implement upselling strategies to maximize service sales while maintaining customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive service. Proficiency in vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, alignments, and general repairs. Experience in sales or upselling within an automotive context is highly desirable. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively as a service technician. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
