Advancement Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining service records. Plans, organizes, leads, and controls the flow of service work through the Service Department in a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality repairs to the customer; uses subordinates to accomplish these tasks. Forecast goals and objectives for the departments and strive to meet them Supervise the valet attendants, receptionist, service technicians, service advisors, etc. Dispatch work to the service technicians Scheduling, department payroll, and bonus payroll Attend managers’ meetings and training as requested Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto service Interact with all other departments to meet customer satisfaction goals Maintain a timely follow-up system Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
PREVIOUS AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE MANAGER EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
Must have a valid driver’s license Must be coachable, reliable, and have a passion for learning Must be customer service oriented and maintain a professional appearance Integrity, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic Willingness to learn, be a team player, and to help with other duties as required Willingness to adapt new ideas Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Employees should also write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively to customers or fellow employees of the organization. Reasoning Skills Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Employee is to have ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills Inventory Control Software Work Environment While performing these duties, employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, chemicals and electrical. The noise level in the environment is loud.
