Salary:

$30•$36 per hour A bitabout us: Based in the Newark area, we are seeking an experienced2nd shift Automation Technician Supervisor to join our Engineeringteam. This role is essential in maintaining and improving ourautomated systems. The successful candidate will be responsible foroverseeing the daily operations of our technical teams, ensuringthat all machinery and equipment run smoothly and efficiently. Theideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC’s, with theability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated systems.

Generous PTO Job DetailsResponsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead a team of automationtechnicians, providing guidance and support to ensure all tasks arecompleted accurately and on time. 2. Oversee the maintenance,repair, and troubleshooting of VFD controlled machinery and otherautomated systems. 3. Implement and maintain safety standards andprocedures in accordance with company policies and regulations. 4.Develop and implement efficiency improvements and cost reductionstrategies. 5. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smoothoperations and minimize downtime. 6. Provide technical training andmentorship to junior technicians. 7. Keep up-to-date withadvancements in automation technology and suggest new strategiesfor improvement. 8. Develop and maintain documentation for allautomated systems, including maintenance schedules, procedures, andsafety protocols. 9. Manage spare parts inventory and ensureavailability of necessary components. 10. Perform other duties asassigned by management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Automation Technology, or a related field. 2. Minimumof 5 years of experience in an automation technician role, with atleast 2 years in a supervisory position. 3. Extensive knowledge andexperience with VFD controlled machinery. 4. Strong understandingof automation systems, including their design, implementation, andmaintenance. 5. Proven ability to lead and manage a technical team.6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshootcomplex machinery issues. 7. Strong communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to explain technical concepts tonon-technical team members. 8. Proficiency in using computersoftware and applications related to automation technology. 9.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple taskssimultaneously. 10. Commitment to adhering to safety protocols andregulations at all times. 11. Certified Automation Professional(CAP) or similar certification is a plus. Interested in hearingmore?
