Overview The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Manager, Real Estate for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O).
The primary role of this position is to support to the Rutgers University community by implementing mission-driven real estate transactions. This includes site selection, acquisition, negotiation, and leasing. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
The position involves writing, reviewing, and revising various real estate documents such as leases, licenses, letters of intent, estoppels, and other related legal documents. Effective and knowledgeable communication with real estate professionals and attorneys is essential.
The incumbent must understand the healthcare real estate market to perform market analyses and identify trends.
Additionally, the role requires performing lease abstracting and inputting relevant data into University databases to meet the needs of Facilities, Treasury, and Compliance.
The position is also responsible for completing other tasks as required by the Department Head to support departmental needs and requirements.
Provide support to university schools and units including lease site selection, fair market value analysis, and lease negotiation. FLSA Exempt

Mid Range Salary 93917.00
Maximum Salary 112452.00

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, and Real Estate, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of these areas.
A minimum five (5) years relevant experience in real estate management Certifications/Licenses Valid driver’s license Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have prior experience drafting, reviewing and editing real estate legal documents.
Must possess excellent written and verbal skills Preferred Qualifications Paralegal Certification or Real Estate Salesperson License a plus.
Five years’ experience in healthcare real estate is preferred. Equipment Utilized Must be familiar with database systems for Real Estate property and Lease Administration. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives and multi-task.
