Job Description
Compensation includes: A two-bedroom apartment, utilities (telephone, electric, gas and water), and $1,000 weekly/ $52k annual salary. One reserved outdoor parking spot. There are not medical or dental benefits.
Experience required:
5-10 years.
Education:
Highschool, plus.
Employee should be responsible for any and all cleaning, maintenance, repair and other custodial duties of the building located at 100 Brooklyn Avenue, Freeport.
A. Respond to tenants’ requests for repairs.
B. Maintain a journal of activities performed (repairs, maintenance, meetings with contractors, etc.)C. Keep building grounds and common areas clean and in safe condition.
D. Ensure that garbage and recycled items are placed for pick up at the appropriate times and in proper manner. E. Keep entranceways, walkways, sidewalks, and stairways clear of debris, ice, and snow. F. Maintain fresh paint on interior and exterior of the building.
G. Maintain inspection logs for sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and all other building systems required by federal law.
H. Conduct regular preventative maintenance on items throughout the interior and exterior of the building.
I. Perform daily and regular inspections of all common areas.
J. Coordinate with contractors or repair crews for all work that is outsourced.
K. Coordinate with Managing Agent on all matters affecting the building.
L. Purchase maintenance supplies and keep adequate inventory.
M. Maintain a car, cell phone, and answering machine at all times. The Cooperation may direct Employee to use for performance of his duties and services.
