POSITION SUMMARY
The Receiving Supervisor will oversee the receipt and inspection of all incoming deliveries to the Tin Building, ensuring the verification of condition, quality, and accuracy. This role involves processing deliveries according to Tin Building procedures, maintaining accurate records, logs, and reconciliation in the inventory system. The ideal candidate will uphold exceptional receiving standards, provide strong leadership, and actively contribute to the training and development of staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all incoming deliveries are inspected for condition and accuracy, following receiving standards. Verify weight, quality, purchase units, and pricing of all deliveries. Identify and resolve discrepancies in the inventory system, adjusting as needed. Report any shortages or damages to the Culinary Operations Managers and Department Heads of relevant business units. Complete daily receiving reports, performing three-way matches between purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices. Direct and instruct delivery personnel, ensuring compliance with receiving standards and policies. Collaborate with other departments regarding deliveries and coordinate the pick-up of goods or deliveries. Maintain constant communication and a synergistic partnership with the Culinary Operations Supervisor to ensure smooth product movements, timely deliveries, and efficient driver pick-ups. Work with vendors on credit requests for damaged, incorrect, or sub-standard products. Keep the inventory system up-to-date, including receiving inventory, updating pricing, and transferring products as needed. Ensure proper documentation is created for customer invoices for business units within and outside the building. Maintain the loading dock in a clean, neat, and organized manner. Use computerized or automated systems to efficiently complete tasks. Ensure safe and efficient storage of food and beverage supplies in fridges, freezers, and dry storage in accordance with food safety guidelines. Track all inventory transfers between storerooms and departments using internal procurement/inventory software. Assist in training, scheduling, and supervising a team of receivers. Ensure company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements are adhered to. Uphold company ethics to protect its image and reputation. Maintain a flexible schedule in response to business demands. Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve missing invoices or make necessary invoice adjustments. Communicate with the corporate products team regarding the creation or activation of new items necessary to successfully reconcile vendor invoices. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Prior experience within High Volume Food & Beverage industry is highly preferred. Experience with Crunchtime is preferred. Experience with D365 is preferred. Demonstrated success in achieving fiscal goals and executing to a high standard. Computer literate with the ability to learn and adapt to using new programs. Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess strong interpersonal (verbal and written), collaboration skills with a demonstrated high degree of emotional intelligence to manage and lead a diverse team; must support and promote a culture of inclusiveness, respect, and a positive employee experience. Self-disciplined, shows initiative, possess leadership ability, and is outgoing. Must be passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to grasp, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and life, and/or carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Gloves, safety shoes, eye protection, hard hat, breathing apparatus
- all as needed depending on the environment. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in hot, cold and wet conditions. Climbing steps regularly. The base pay range for this position will be $21.00
