Shift:

Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 am – 2:00 pm; overtime, weekends and holidays as needed. Essential Duties Responsibilities Schedules and manage day-to-day maintenance activities to coordinate equipment repairs, PM’s, and project completion with all shifts and technicians. Utilize electronic MMS to manage workorders, PM’s, and parts inventory Audit completed work to validate completion and reliability of performance Supports operational departments by maintaining equipment and resolves mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity, job capabilities, and equipment capabilities at the department’s request. Involved in the installation and startups of new equipment, interface with outside contractors Establish clear responsibilities and expectations for each technician and ensure that each employee meets these standards. Take action to address any developmental needs. Delegate department responsibilities to Foremen Understanding of working with DCS, programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controls (PLC), control software and human-machine interface systems. (Control 5000 AB – RS View, VFD’s) Stay abreast of new technologies associated with the industry. Ensure safety compliance within the department by understand and following all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way. Expedite all safety and quality work orders SQF. Maintain a professional relationship with supervision and production personnel by providing exceptional customer service. Develop maintenance staff in skill sets needed to maintain the equipment and facility. Maintain, review and distribute KPI reports as requested by Management Understand all machinery and plant equipment and general plant operations and be able to troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs when needed. Working knowledge of WWTP operations and instrument/electrical needs including record keeping Develop knowledge of refrigerated ammonia cooling systems, boiler systems, and general manufacturing is a prerequisite. Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner. Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements Work hours, as needed, which will require an obligation from you to fulfill. Act as a representative on special committee’s as needed Carry out all additional duties assigned by Manager Education and Experience A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a plant or manufacturing industry. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience required. Industry background in Food or Beverage preferred. Demonstrated experience within mechanical and electrical systems. Skills and Competencies Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Inspires and motivates others to perform well.
