We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director/Housekeeping Director to join our team and ensure that our facility operates smoothly and remains a comfortable home for our residents.

Job Description:

As the Maintenance Director/Housekeeping Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and housekeeping operations of our nursing home. This dual-role position requires a hands-on leader who is proactive, organized, and committed to excellence in facility management. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:

Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities, including routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance for building systems and equipment. Manage a team of maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility maintenance and safety. Develop and manage maintenance schedules and budgets. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

Housekeeping Management:

Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. Develop and implement housekeeping protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for residents. Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in facilities maintenance and housekeeping management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Certification or formal training in facilities management or related fields is a plus.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher in facilities management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
