Position Summary:

The Shop Foreman will oversee daily operations of the service shop, ensuring all GM repairs and maintenance are completed to manufacturer standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and support technicians while maintaining productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and support a team of automotive technicians. Distribute work orders efficiently and monitor workflow. Ensure repair quality and adherence to GM service procedures. Diagnose complex vehicle issues and assist technicians as needed. Communicate with service advisors to ensure accurate repair timelines and customer satisfaction. Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and compliance with OSHA standards. Participate in hiring and performance reviews of shop personnel. Stay updated on GM training and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as an automotive technician (GM experience preferred). ASE or GM Master Technician certification highly preferred. Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a service shop. Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
