Maintenance Director Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility Ensure all systems—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety—are in proper working condition Supervise and schedule maintenance team members Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOH and OSHA standards Respond to emergency maintenance needs as required Manage vendor relationships and oversee repair projects
Maintenance Director Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Maintenance Director or Supervisor role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting Strong knowledge of building systems, safety protocols, and preventive maintenance Ability to manage staff and delegate tasks effectively Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications are a plus At Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation and Rehab, our mission is to provide our residents with comprehensive health services of the highest quality in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
