Maintenance Superviser 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 314 Spring Glen Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522 Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. Supervises the movement, installation, repair of machines and plant equipment on production lines. Provides line maintenance support to the Production Department. Maintains buildings, facilities, and systems. Lead department personnel with all daily occurrences and follow up with Manager to find long term solutions. Is aware of and complies with all GMP and OSHA requirements to perform the essential functions of the job safely. Adheres to the universal responsibilities of a management position Supervises the repair of all production equipment as required, communicates downtime and steps to correct daily. Follow up with root cause analysis on escalated or reoccurring downtime. Assigning through Maintenance leadership meetings – Technician workload and help generate plans to improve plant wide Provides input to correct department problems as well as help brainstorm plant wide upset conditions. Lead daily 8am Maintenance review with department personnel, document and follow through with actions. Provide daily shift report of maintenance responsibilities and how each department performed with actions if needed. Supervises the repair of production line breakdowns to ensure that the repairs are completed in a minimum amount of time and with a sense of urgency. Mentoring technicians through repairs or technical gaps to help gain understanding. Assists with developing and implementing Preventative Maintenance Programs for all production equipment. Correcting technician behavior through coaching, 1 on 1, and written warnings. Have a strong understanding of employee development. Communicates effectively through shift reports, projects, and planned weekend work. Effectively document technical gaps through maintenance leadership meetings to be addressed and corrected. Ensures that all maintenance employees are properly trained and demonstrate safe working practices on all assigned jobs. Provide input to improve all department trainings and teachings. Assists in the development of maintenance programs to ensure the plant is following all OSHA regulations and regulatory agencies. Work closely with operational supervisors to address needs in each work center. Document through work request actions identified. Assists with capital projects to increase efficiency and operational profitability Reports unusual conditions to the Maintenance Manager whether related to mechanical, personnel or condition of materials Responsible for the administration of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as, but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, governmental guidelines and requirements, pre-requisite programs, quality systems, etc. Recommends and, when necessary, administers discipline on an equitable basis to personnel who fail to meet standards or who violate Company rules or regulations. While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.). Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported. Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and department workflow. Possess a strong understanding of LOTO. Ability to carry out responsibilities and be an example to all employees. The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual. The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form). The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations. The ability to work cooperatively with others.
