THE POSITION

The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Phoenix is seeking a highly motivated Corrections Maintenance Foreman. OF WORK
As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will oversee inmate work crews in routine construction, lawn care, snow removal, janitorial, and other general maintenance tasks. You will plan inmate schedules, instruct proper operation of machinery, and inspectpleted work. You will also assist other trades staff in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration, masonry, and welding. The role requires exercising technical independence to determine proper procedures and materials necessary toplete work effectively and efficiently. In addition, you will submit requisitions for materials and tools, ensurepleted workplies with performance standards, and maintain order and discipline of inmates during work assignments. Work Schedule and Information:

Full-time Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
An equivalentbination of experience and training.

Requirements:

Successfulpletion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
